Aurthur "Curtis" Barnett, Born in Dallas, Texas on June 17, 1944, and passed away on December 21, 2025. He married Rena "Kay" Barnett on October 16, 1962, whom he loved for 62 years. They have two children: Daughter, Shellie Kay Barnett King and Husband, Bruce King. Son, Steven Curtis Barnett and Wife Darla Barnett. He has three Grandsons, Jeffery Carl Randolph and wife Laci Randolph, Justin Mathew Randolph and wife Jeannie Randolph, and John Cade Barnett all of whom he was extremely proud of! He has three amazing Great-Grandkids, Reese Carl Randolph, Ryker Gregory Kelley and Rynlee Jade Randolph.

Curtis was one of seven children from Melvin and Rachel Barnett who resided in Cleburne, TX. His surviving Brother Richard Barnett and Sister's Betty Cole and Belinda Mogged. Preceding in death was his wife, Rena Kay Barnett, Parents Melvin and Rachel Barnett, Brother's Lonnie Barnett and Melvin Barnett Jr. and Sister Shirley Lewis Lankford. He and his siblings were raised of the Church of Christ Faith in Cleburne.

Curtis served in the Navy for a total of 18 years including 4 years on USS Eldorado Ship in California. He served in the Vietnam War. Then the remaining years in the Navy reserves. He has always served and helped others throughout Cleburne and Johnson County. He was the President of the Cleburne Chamber of Commerce, President of the Cleburne Jaycees Club and President of the Cleburne Kiwanis Club. He always sponsored Steven's Baseball Teams and Shellie's Softball Teams. He was a stern, strong, but loving Father and Papa to his Family.
