Barbara Ann Shofner, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on the evening of April 3, 2017, after suffering from a sudden and unexpected illness. Memorial Service: 2 pm Thursday, Crossway Baptist Church, 10417 Old Cleburne Crowley Junction Rd, Crowley, Texas. Barbara was born on March 20, 1939 in Columbus, Georgia to Robert and Inez George. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, hummingbirds, games and family time. Barbara was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Henry George, and her sisters, Arrie Louise George and Dorothy Young. Survivors: Husband of 58 years, Fred Shofner; daughters, Deborah Shofner Sycamore, IL, and Karen Miller, Ft Worth, TX; grandchildren, Tyler Miller and his wife Christine and their children, Lucas and Ethan, and Lauren Miller and her children Eric and Ember; brothers, Robert George, Joe George, Edward George, and Ricky George; sisters, Annie Mae Rose, Louise Ensor, Vicky George, and Patricia Reynolds; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.
