Bettie Sutton Sanders of Fort Worth, TX, who had just turned 75 passed away on July 24, 2026, after a lengthy illness.

A memorial service will be held August 5, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Martin Thompson and Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgewood Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76133. The family will have a visitation at the same location beginning at 1:00 pm just before the memorial.

Bettie, also known as “Stick” was born July 8, 1951, to Carnes DeArmond and Nellie Gene Sutton in Fort Worth. She graduated from Arlington Heights High School in 1969 and was a member of the Debs Charity Club while in high school. She then attended Bauder Fashion College in Arlington, TX after graduation and completed their program the following year. She worked for Anadarko Petroleum and Texas Crude as a revenue accountant where she worked until they closed their Fort Worth location in approximately 2015.

Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, C.D. and Gene Sutton, and her older brother James D. Sutton.

Bettie is survived by her children, Tiffany Greenlee, Austin Sanders (Kasey), and Lindsey Sanders. She is also survived by her sister, Susie Francis (William) and her brother John Sutton (Sandra) and granddaughters, Annie Jane and Baylee.
