Betty Rothermel, 86, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2014. Service: 11 am Wednesday, Travis Avenue Baptist Church, Ft. Worth. Visitation: 6 pm - 8 pm Tuesday, Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Ft. Worth. Betty was born on February 11, 1928 in Fort Worth to Arthur and Olga Johnson. She and her husband worked side by side for many years in their family florist business. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a member of Travis Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors: Husband of 66 years, Charles Rothermel; sons, Chuck Rothermel and his wife Nelda, and Ricky Rothermel and his wife Pat; daughter, Leslie Horsley and her husband Mike; grandchildren, Amy Gray, Ryan Rothermel, Melissa Rothermel, Michelle Rothermel, Eric Horsley and Brian Horsley; and five great-grandchildren.
