Bobby M. Smith, 77, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Memorial: 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Fort Worth, TX, with Chaplain David Garcia officiating. Bob was born March 19, 1940, in Harlan, Kentucky, to John Casto Smith and Gladys Hale. He married his wife Betty on January 15, 1959 in Lake City, Tennessee. Bob and Betty moved to Ft. Worth, Texas when their son, Bobby, was a year old. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John Casto Smith and Gladys Hale Smith; son, Bobby D. Smith; brothers, Ardell Smith, Charles (Woody) Smith, Homer (Buddy) Smith; and sisters, Dorothy Brown and Janice Kelly. Survivors: Wife, Betty Smith of Ft. Worth; brother, Jerry Smith and wife Linda; sister, Opal Woodrum and husband Jim; daughter-in-law, Laura Smith; grand-daughters, Amy Smith, Sarah Smith, Bethany McCraw and husband Hayden; great-grandchildren, Holden and Savannah McCraw; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
