Bonnie Jean Shields, 94, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, September 20, 2021, at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76133. Service: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 3601 Alta Mesa Blvd, Fort Worth, TX 76133. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park, Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital. Bonnie was born on November 16, 1926 in Omaha, Nebraska to Mary and Charles Barker. She was a longtime member of St Bartholomew Catholic Church. Bonnie enjoyed sewing cooking and playing bridge, but, mostly spending time with family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Bonnie was the widow of Jack Shields. Survivors: Children, Kathleen Shields, Patrick Shields and wife Amy, and Mary Ohlig; grandchildren, Brandy Poole, Shelly Poole Wolfe, MacKenzie Poole Karim and husband Zaiq, Shawn Poole and wife Barbara, Andrea Deal McGrath and husband Tom, Tucker Shields, Madison Shields, Elizabeth Palmer and husband Cody, and Bonnie Boswell and husband Aubrey.
