Carole Inzillo
Davis
Dec 24, 1955 — Jun 9, 2022
Carole Inzillo Davis, 66, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on June 9, 2022, in Mansfield, Texas. Carole was born on December 24, 1955 to Armando and Mary Inzillo in Philadelphia, PA. While growing up in Folcroft, PA with her mom, dad, and sister Donna, Carole was educated in an all-girls Catholic school system through high school. As a kid, she loved her family vacations to the Jersey shore in Wildwood. In 1975 she met fellow student Scott Davis at Penn State; they graduated together in 1977. Carole & Scott were married in September 1978, in an outdoor ceremony on the banks of the Delaware River, at Governor Printz Park in Essington, PA. In 1981 Rigel and Emile were born. Beau joined the family in 1987. Carole & Scott moved their family around quite a bit during almost 44 years of marriage, starting in NY, then TX, then NJ, then CA, then NJ again, then CA again, and then finally TX again. Carole was an animal lover, especially cats and horses. As a teenager, she owned and cared for her horse "Rusty". Over the years as a mom, she brought the love of a dozen cats into the family. Carole was a people lover too, especially kids and seniors.
Carole 'lived it up' in Hollywood. She was called to "COME ON DOWN!" at a live taping of The Price Is Right, was filmed in the studio audience during a taping of the Jay Leno Show, and starred as an extra in the movies Sea Biscuit, Starship Troopers and Spiderman. Of course Carole was always desperately seeking Bruce [Springsteen], starting at small nightclubs in NJ during the late 70's. After winning tickets from a radio contest in 1992, Carole finally shook hands with Bruce at his 'MTV Unplugged' concert in LA. She entered and won many radio contests. In 2004 Carole & Scott took 10 hours to walk 26.2 miles together in the San Diego marathon; Scott videotaped it. For their 50th birthdays, they took magic lessons and became members at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. 2006 brought them back to their alma mater Penn State's creamery to take a college-level course in ice cream making. Carole & Scott were both 'born again' in 2011, baptized in the Pacific Ocean together on the same breaking wave. In 2015 they vacation-cruised Barcelona, Canne and the Italian coast. They continued cruising, this time to the British Isles in 2018. Later that same year, Carole & Scott went on their U.S. adventure, a 2-week driving tour of six national parks (in CA, NV, UT, AZ).
Carole worked or volunteered: in retail sales, dressed up as a dept store Santa Claus, was a career counselor, a Unicef coordinator at the United Nations, a docent tour guide at the Houston & Philadelphia zoos and on the tour bus at Six Flags Wild Safari in NJ, a substitute teacher, a library board member, created a baby-sitting class, a 'secret shopper' taster for Jack In The Box, a Toys R Us cashier, a Marriott reservationist, a recreation leader and volunteer coordinator at the HB senior center, and a 'Meals On Wheels' deliverer. Wherever she was and whatever she did, Carole always put the interests of others above her own. Carole warmed people with her smile, made lifelong friends, was thrilled to be a grandma 'Mee-Maw', and loved Jesus.
Carole is survived by her loving husband Scott Davis and their three sons, with their families. Carole's son Rigel (aka Rye) who lives in Columbia, MO with his wife Sharon and their three kids Marissa (7yo), Alina (7yo), and Juliana (2yo). Carole's son Emile (aka Max) who lives in San Diego, CA with his wife Kendra and their son Julian (1yo). Carole's son Beau who lives in Mansfield, TX with his wife Tierney and their two kids Derek (5yo) and Cameron (1yo). Carole is also survived by her sister Donna & her husband James who live in Springfield, PA.
