Caroline Diaz Ward, 79, passed away on September 16, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Caroline was born on March 16, 1947, in Brownwood, Texas, to Jessie and Lucille Perez.

In 1989, Caroline met the love of her life, Jack Ward. The two were married on February 23, 1990, and shared more than 36 years of marriage together.

Caroline enjoyed sewing and was a devoted George Strait fan and member of the George Strait Club. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family and those she loved.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Ward; sisters, Angela Moody and Olivia Perez; children, Thomas Marquez, Joseph Marquez, Michelle Reed, and Steve Ward; seven grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Jack would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to Caroline’s grandchildren, Justin and Laura Marques, for their tremendous help, love, and support during this difficult time.

Caroline will be deeply missed, but the love she shared, and the memories created with her family will remain in their hearts for years to come.
