Our beloved Carolla Jean Dillard passed away at the age of 69 on January 8th, 2023. She is survived by her husband, Bill Dillard of 48 years, two daughters, Amber and her husband Jeremy Walker and Amy, and her husband Micheal Caffey, along with her adoring grandchildren, Aubree, Ainsley, Rhett and Avyn, brother Paul Buthman with children Erin and Matt, and sister Melanie Conklin with son Mikey and grandson Oliver Olds. Preceded in death by parents Edward and Mildred Buthman and nephew Edward Olds.

A double alumnae from the University of North Texas, with a Masters in Education, Carolla dedicated her life to what she loved - her family, and students. She served the Irving, Colleyville, Grapevine and Southlake School Districts from 1975-2014 as a special education teacher, and diagnostician. Carolla continued supporting the public school system as a substitute teacher after retiring, and spent her other time caring for her grandchildren, loving and supporting her family, gathering with close friends, and traveling with Bill and friends.
