Carolyn Ann Terry, 85, passed away on Sunday, March 05, 2023, from chronic COPD, Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma and leukemia in Crowley, Texas at home. Carolyn was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Edwin (Eddy) Ruffner Terry and Wilburnett Jewel Young on September 26, 1937. She left R L Paschal School (now a high school) in Tarrant County in 1952. She met Don Brammer, a professional motorcycle racer, and they were maried on August 1, 1953, in Ardmore, Oklahoma. They raised 4 daughters together in North and North East Fort Worth, Texas.
Before meeting Don, Carolyn liked to ride horses with her cousins Elenor, France, and Ralin. She also enjoyed ice skating and playing music taught by her Grandmother Jewel Young on 928 South Adams in Fort Worth, and her Aunt Maywood Ray Pope on Westbrook in the Oakhurst suburb of Fort Worth. She was a very talented musician and played triple duets on a piano. Also, she liked to play her violin as well in her school years. Carolyn was also a ballroom dancer and won several awards with her father Eddy Terry. She loved fishing with her daughter and family and also playing vending casino games.
Carolyn will be remembered by family and friends for her generosity of giving. She loved helping family, veterans, and the homeless. She will also be remembered for her sense of kindness, and her faith in God, being baptized at Fort Worth Pentecostal Church. Carolyn worked for her brother Maurice Terry, owner of the vending company Texas Music.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husbands, her father Eddy Terry and mother Wibernett Young, her brother Maurice Terry, and her aunts and uncles. Carolyn is survived by daughters Terry Gutierrez, Donna Reed, Sherrie Capps and Lisa Majia and grandchildren, Holli Clardy, Dameon Hudson, Michael Frauchsire and Christopher Johnson.
