Carolyn Jean Underwood, 72, of Fort Worth passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 1, 2015. Memorial Service: Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 4 at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home. Carolyn was born November 9, 1943 in Cherokee City, Oklahoma. She worked in various positions over the years with H&R Block, The Oklahoma Tax Commission and Walmart. Her most beloved position was at Risa's Attic Treasures where she researched antiques and old books. Carolyn was an artist at heart that enjoyed making quilts, photography and painting. She was an avid reader especially for classic literature and would watch any movie with John Wayne. She enjoyed seeing new places and was always excited at the thought of hopping on an airplane; her two favorite travel spots were Hawaii and Colorado. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband Michael Leon Underwood. Survivors: She is survived by her son, Jesse Underwood; daughter, Alana Kuhnel and husband Nick; one grandson, Carson Underwood. Her positive attitude and ability to respond to lifes up and downs will be missed.
