Chad Todd Hawkins, 1984 - 2016, is survived by his wife, Rebekah Hawkins; sons, Chad Todd II, Leland Taylor, Troy Timothy; his mother and stepfather, Lou Dewey and Joseph Smith; father, Howard Hawkins; brother, Bruce (Candy) Hawkins; step-brothers, Matthew and William and step-sister Rebecca Smith; in-laws, Richard and Marilou Ledford, and Susan and Durward Foxworth. Service: 4 p.m. - 7 p.m., Wednesday at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76107. Chad loved his family beyond compare and married his high school sweetheart. He loved being a kid with his boys, and instilled in them to be men of their word, work hard, to never be afraid of a dirty job, and to have fun doing it. He taught them to own their actions and not cower away from them. Chad never met a stranger. He was magnetic. Once he came into your life, it was a done deal. You were going to love him forever and he would always have a piece of your heart. He was a great son and father, always looking out for his family. He was the hardest worker most people ever met. His heart was so big he never said no to anyone that needed help with a listening ear and helping hand. HE WAS OUR HERO!
