David Lee Phillips, 35, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020. Celebration of Life: 10 am Friday, Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home. David was born on February 19, 1985 in Fairfax, VA to Becky and Roger. He was a 2003 graduate of Saginaw High School and received his Bachelor of Science in Multiply Disciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University where he was also a member of Kappa Delta Phi and was on the Deans list. David loved teaching kids with learning differences. David was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Roger Phillips. Survivors: Mother, Becky Van Kuiken and husband Peter; father, Roger Dale Phillips; siblings, Jennifer Mott and husband Joshua, Dylan Rodgers, and Hailey Rodgers; maternal grandparents, Janice and Jim Billman; paternal grandmother, Peggy Phillips; nieces, nephews, and extended family.
