Derek Grant Cameron, 32, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2019. Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019, Feragne Villa, 755 Mid Cities Blvd, Hurst, Texas. Memorials: Should friends desire, donations may be given to Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. Derek was born June 12, 1987 in Irving to David Smith and Suzanne Stanfield. He attended Burleson High School. Derek had an infectious smile and would do anything it took to make everyone happy. Derek enjoyed fishing, cooking, growing his own garden, creating music and bike riding. Derek enjoyed life and those that knew him loved him. Derek will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Survivors: Mother, Suzanne Jeter (Stanfield) and husband Mike; grandparents, Lana and Richard DeFeo, Melva Stanfield, and Alice and Roger Conger; great grandmother, Martha Stanfield; aunt, Jana Edwards and husband Ron; cousins, Anthony and wife Ashley, and Craig Edwards and Zack Smith; special friend Kathleen Woodhouse and many extended family and friends.
