Dorothy Oliverie departed her earthly home and entered her heavenly home on Saturday, March 4, 2016. Dorothy was born in St. Louis, MO on August 10, 1929. She spent most of her childhood and early adult years in Phillips and then Milwaukee, WI. She married and moved to Santa Barbara, CA at age 26. She returned to Wisconsin in 1959 and later moved to Boston, MA where she lived for many years. In 2003, she left Boston and moved to Texas. She was an active member of Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington where she forged many lasting friendships. Dorothy enjoyed gardening and spending time with her beloved animals. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Gustave and Katherine (Lavin) Stoecker, and brothers Daniel Stoecker, David Stoecker and Pat Davis. She is survived by brothers Phil Stoecker (wife Wendy) and George Stoecker (wife Elaine), numerous nieces and nephews, and her special church and neighborhood friends that were like family to her. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12th at Pleasantview Baptist Church located at 4400 Pleasantview Drive, Arlington, TX 76017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pleasantview Baptist Church Mission Ministry.
