Geraldine "Jerry" Myers Hamil passed away at home on Saturday, May 21, 2016. Memorial service: A celebration of life for Burney and Jerry Hamil will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Drive, Fort Worth. Jerry was born on Dec. 4, 1931, to Grady and Geraldine Browning Myers. Prior to their return to Fort Worth, our parents spent 20 peaceful years in the Sandia Mountains in New Mexico. Jerry was preceded in death by her parents; identical twin sister, Genene "Jean" Silverman; brother, James A. Myers; and beloved dog, Gus. We will miss you Mama, until we all meet in heaven. Survivors: Left to cherish her memory are her husband 0f 66 years, Burney M. Hamil Jr.; children, Burney M. Hamil III and wife, Melody, Mark Steven Hamil and wife, Bonnie, and Eileen Hamil Bennett; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; sweet granddogs; and loving caregivers.
