Gwenesta Price was born on May 20, 1940 in Winona, Texas to the parentage of Jessie Lee and Mahalia Price. She enrolled in the License Vocational Nurse Program at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas in 1968 and remained until her retirement after 35 years of service. She furthered her studies with Southern Bible Institute and College of Dallas, Tx. and received her three-year diploma in Biblical Studies and Bible Exposition. She was a faithful member of Beth-Eden Baptist Church for thirty years plus serving in various capacities within the church. She leaves to mourn her children, Lynne Hackett and Cheryl Hackett of Fort Worth and Belinda Hackett Washington (Charles) and Stevie Hackett of Houston, Tx. She is survived by her sisters, Eloise Gaither of Houston, Tx. and Dorothy Jones of DeSoto, Tx and brother, Charles (Patricia) Price of Dallas, Tx. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rev. Patrick Hackett of Ft. Worth, and Charity and Kaden Hackett of Houston, Tx and Reeshemah and Mica Taylor of Dallas, Tx., great grandchildren, Camille, Taiylor, Gavin, Landon, Zion and Xavier Hackett and Genesis Taylor and goddaughter, Kibibi Latson of Atlanta Ga. Left mourning are her special friends, Sanford and Dorothy Crayton and Arthur and Margie Gibbs and an extended family, friends, nephews and nieces who share in our grief. Gwenesta was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Lee and Mahalia Price, brothers, Rev. Brady Blaylock and Lawalden Price, daughter, Sandra Kay Hackett, and granddaughter Tinesha Taylor.
