Herschel T. Moore, Jr., 76, died peacefully on February 23, 2016 surrounded by family. Herschel was born March 19, 1939 in Houston, TX to Herschel and Margaret Moore, Sr. He studied Accounting at the University of Texas, a graduate of St. Mary's Law School in San Antonio, TX and Member of Phi Delta Phi. He will be remembered for the contributions he made to our world fighting for women's rights, Civil Rights, and most importantly the indigent and he was always ready to fight ANYONE for his clients! Herschel was very proud of his family's place in Texas history. From the dirt roads up to Bull Mountain, the paved streets that the Capital Buildings stand on today to the farmlands in Bastrop, TX. Preceded in death by his Father Herschel T. Moore Sr. and his Mother Margaret Bull Moore. Survived by his wife Cheryl Moore of 34yrs, Children Margaret Mercer, Alice & David Kirby, Bill & Lisa Moore, KC & Mark Ford, Stephanie & Joe Acord. Grandchildren Billy & Erin Ledbetter, Joseph Gross, Courtney Acord, Nate & Paige Moore and Cal & Clara Kirby. A memorial service will take place in Austin at a later date.
