Obituary

Joel William Crump, aged 68, a resident of Fort Worth, Texas, peacefully transitioned to eternal rest in the embrace of Jesus on November 11, 2023, within the loving presence of his daughter, Megan. In heaven, he is now complete, restored, and renewed.

Joel came into the world on June 4, 1955, as the cherished youngest child of Lida Lea Crump and Dr. Edward William Crump, hailing from Wichita Falls, Texas. Among five siblings, Joel was the youngest, embodying the warmth and love of a close-knit family.

His greatest source of joy and fulfillment came from the cherished role of being "G.D" to Madie and Kenzie. This title brought him immense happiness and became a central passion in his life.

A true Texan at heart, Joel's love extended beyond state borders; he held a deep affection for his country and unwavering faith in God.

Left to carry on his memory are his surviving relatives: Sister Catherine Davis of Corpus Christi, TX; Sister Carolyn Knight of England; Brother Edward "Lea" Crump and his wife Melanie of Midland, Texas. His legacy lives on through his devoted daughter Megan Madewell and her husband Joseph of Aledo, TX, as well as his beautiful granddaughters, Madison and Mackenzie.

Joel was preceded in death by his parents, his loving sister Betsy Crump, and several dear friends and family members. His departure leaves a great void, yet his impact will endure through the ages, as his legacy becomes a guiding light for generations to come.
