Joel Thomas Johnson was born on December 27, 1966, to Victoria Blogg and Bill Johnson in Joliet, Illinois. After battling many health issues for five years, Joel left us on January 7, 2023, at home with his mom and life partner by his side.

Joel relocated to Texas in November of 1979 with his family.

He had a passion for art with an artistic talent himself. He had the heart of a caregiver with a sense of humor to make anyone laugh. Joel loved spending his time planting flowers in his beautiful garden or shopping for antiques.

Joel is survived by his life partner, Raymond Saucillo; mother, Victoria Blackmon; stepfather, James Blackmon; two brothers, Shawn and Jeremy Johnson; two sisters, Tiffany Duckworth and Charlotte Becker; as well as 13 nieces and nephews.
