Joseph R. "Joe" Schwarz, 81, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on August 29, 2018. Joe was born on June 15, 1937, in Chicago, IL to Raymond and Dorothy Schwarz. Visitation: 2 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76133. Sharing Memories: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home. Joe served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union. Throughout his life, he enjoyed bowling and served on many bowling leagues, attending horse racing, and playing blackjack. He also enjoyed dancing and was known to be one of the first ones on the dance floor and the last one off. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Schwarz and Dorothy Pielmeir Schwarz, and his wife, Enriqueta Mendez Schwarz. Survivors: Sister, Bobbi Schwarz; daughter, Patty Ann Elayazra; stepson, Roy Donovan; stepdaughter, Yvonne Donovan Sanchez; grandchildren, Yvette Donovan, Raul Sanchez, Patrick Donovan, Danny Sanchez, and Katelyn Donovan; special friends and caretakers, Noe and Viola Rosales; and Christopher Armendariz.
