Joyce Janelle Nickels Haseloff, a kind and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away at her home on October 19, 2016. She was 84. Born January 27, 1932 in Young County, TX, to the late J.T. and Lila Nickels, Joyce was an exceptional woman. She lost her husband at a young age, with 3 small daughters at home. She went on to own her own business in the cotton industry and retired 20 years ago. She then went on to live her life with her daughter Cindy and her family, and enjoyed all of her grandkids over the years. Visitation: 11:00 Saturday, October 22, at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Ft. Worth, TX. Funeral: 12:00 Saturday, October 22, also at the funeral home. A Celebration of her life will also be held in Muleshoe, at a later date. Joyce was preceded by her daughter, Tami Haseloff, and 2 brothers: Bobby and Billy Nickels. She is survived by: Daughters: Conny Huddleston of Slaton, Cindy Pilgrim and husband David, of Stephenville; Grandchildren: Chad and Angela Crouch, Brittany Huddleston, Megan Pilgrim, Morgan Pilgrim, Courtney Huddleston, Mindy Huddleston; Great-Granddaughter: Aubrey Crouch; sister-in-law: JoEllen Nickels; Nephews: Lance and Bryan Nickels, along with many friends and extended family.
