Juanita Elaine Evans, age 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Fort Worth, Texas, on July 8, 2026.

Elaine was born on September 14, 1956, in Lake Wales, Florida, to John Duran Spivey, Sr. and Juanita (Coleman) Spivey. She graduated from Lake Wales High School and later made her home in Fort Worth.

Elaine met the love of her life, Ronald E. Evans, in Fort Worth, and the couple married in 1978. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories during their 36 years of marriage until Ronald’s untimely passing in 2014.

She dedicated 35 years of service to the State of Texas before retiring at the age of 55. In her younger years, Elaine enjoyed riding horses, and throughout her life she had a deep love for animals, especially dogs. Later, after her son Eric introduced cats into the family, she grew to love them as well. She also enjoyed spending time at the casino and treasured the moments shared with family and friends.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, John and Juanita Spivey; her beloved husband, Ronald E. Evans; and her brother, John Duran Spivey, Jr.

She is survived by her son, Eric Evans; her sisters, Carole Barchers, Linda Ezernack, and Jane Williams; her brother, Floyd Spivey; and many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
