Leona Marie Manges, 73, received her heavenly wings on January 18, 2020. While living in Fort Worth, TX at the time of her death, she lived most of her life in Memphis, TN. After retiring from management positions and long-distance driving, Leona was quite an artist as she loved to draw and paint, especially family portraits. Leona was best known for her hand poured ceramic dolls including exquisite handsewn doll dresses and accessories. Leona is preceded in death by her son, Jerry Jacob Thompson Jr., 6 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Lee of Ocean Springs, MS, brother Earl Ferguson of Memphis, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and dozens of nieces and nephews. Leona shared her faith openly and loved to serve family and friends around her. She was an encourager and never let anyone believe they had limits in achieving their dreams. A celebration of life service will be held in Memphis, TN at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate in Leona's name to your local animal shelter.
