Lila Ruth Nelson Williams, 85, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.

She was born in Hockley County, Texas, on November 6, 1937, to Joseph Lee Nelson and Angie (Paris) Nelson.

In 1958, Lila married L.F. Williams and resided in Tahoka, Texas, for most of her adult life. She was a farmer and law enforcement officer's wife.

Lila received an associate degree in electrical engineering and worked for Texas Instruments where she retired after 25 years.

She had a great love for children and always put her family first. She enjoyed gardening and reading, especially her Bible. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Lila is proceeded in death by her parents; husband; 2 brothers; and 2 sisters.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Colette Young and husband Sam of Joshua; grandchildren, Brandon Williams of Fort Worth, and Danielle Williams of Granbury; and great-grandchildren, Caleb, Tyler, and Hailey.

A private graveside service will be held in west Texas.
