Linda Marie Pratt Wright, 78, passed away peacefully in her home in Fort Worth, TX on September 2, 2026. Linda was born March 12, 1948 in Houston, TX to the late David Elmer Pratt and Frances Marie Clark Pratt.

One of the greatest joys of her life was her family. Linda shared 59 years of marriage with her loving husband, Herman. Together they raised two daughters, Tina and Tara who she was always so proud of. As a stay-at-home mom, she took pride in helping to provide a stable and loving environment at home. She always treasured showing up in support of her children, and later her grandchildren, as they participated in sports, music performances, school activities, and special events.

Linda’s father helped spark her love of sports, mostly baseball and football. Being a native Houstonian, her favorite teams were the Colt 45’s, renamed the Astros, the Houston Oilers, and the Houston Texans. Having a love for music, she enjoyed singing, playing the piano, and listening to music. She loved being in the church choir, and she passed on this love of music to her daughters, which was passed on further to her granddaughters.

Linda relied on her faith in Jesus which fueled her life of humble service to others. She faithfully served her church by volunteering in the nursery, children’s choir, and children’s ministry. Her life was defined by quiet devotion to those around her, including her parents, whom she selflessly cared for in their later years.

She is survived by her husband, Herman E Wright Jr; daughters, Tina Braswell and husband Dale, Tara Watson and husband Levi; granddaughters, Hannah Hoy and husband Caleb, Kaitlyn Braswell, Ashley Fikse and husband Matt; grandson Chris Watson; great-grandson Alex Fikse; brother David Pratt.

Visitation will be held Monday, September 14, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. with a memorial service following at 12:00 p.m. at Wedgwood Baptist Church in Fort Worth, TX.

In lieu of flowers, plants and gifts, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
