Obituary

Lynne Gayle Hackett, 64, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021. Funeral: 1 p.m. Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Beth Eden Baptist Church, 3208 Wilbarger St., Fort Worth, TX 76119. Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2021 at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Fort Worth, TX 76133. Lynne Gayle Hackett was born to the parentage of Luther and Gwenesta Price-Hackett on Tuesday, December 4, 1956 in Tyler, Texas. She attended the Fort Worth Public Schools and was a 1975 graduate of Polytechnic High School. Lynne and was also a 1980 graduate, with a degree in Home Economics and Fashion Design, from Prairie View A&M University. At an early age, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior and united with Mount Rose Missionary Baptist Church under the late past pastor, Rev. Milford Kelly and later became a member of New Horizon Fellowship Baptist Church under the Rev. DeMarcus Hackett. Lynne was a very outgoing person and never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Sandra Kay Hackett; and niece, Tinesha Taylor. Left to cherish her precious memories are: Her sisters, Cheryl Hackett and Belinda Hackett-Washington (Charles); brother, Stevie Hackett; extended sisters and brothers, Jamal (Deborah) and Antwoine Hackett, Leslye Hackett-Coleman (John), Gregory Flowers-Hackett (Angela), and Darrell Thompson; and several extended nieces and nephews; aunts, Eloise Gaither, Dorothy Jones, Lessie Bee Youngblood, Shirley Johnson, and Katy Mae Price; uncle, Charles Price (Patricia); special friend, Barbara McCoy; nephews, Rev. Patrick Hackett, Kaden Hackett; nieces, Charity Hackett, Reeshemah Taylor, and Mica Taylor, Titanna Hackett, Jayshonie Carolina, and Amani Hackett; great nieces and nephews, Camille, Taiylor, Gavin, Landon, Zion, Xavier, and Genesis; special cousin, Willie Hackett; and other relatives and dear friends. Lynne's family would like to pass a special Thank You to: Barbara McCoy, Kay Egliht, Regina Armstrong, Delores Price, Gildred Barber, Olga Bazron, Von Aldridge, and Vitas Hospice Care.
