Maiza Jones, 92, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2015. Memorial Service: 2 pm, Saturday, August 15, 2015, Paramount Baptist Church, 3801 S Western St, Amarillo. Maiza was born on April 10, 1923 in Ridgeway, MO to Albert and Millie Young. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. Maiza was a member of Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo where she enjoyed volunteering with the Joy Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed gardening, reading, sewing, traveling, cooking and geneology. Maiza was preceded in death by her husband, Noel F. Jones, her son, Noel Kervin Jones, and three sisters, Marjorie, Mildred and Maxine; and her dog and faithful companion Sadie. Survivors: Daughter, Shyrlene Shelton; granddaughters, Krissa Harris and husband Shane, Keilly Milantoni, and Kelsey Neill and husband Derek; great-granddaughter, Hattie Noel Harris; her dogs, Ed, Max and Riley; nieces, Lisa Oliver and husband Chuck, Betty Wells and husband Gary, Tiffany McKee, Jayme Armstrong, Jane Richburg and husband Quaid, Phyllis Lightner and husband Bob, and Linda Tunks; nephews, Randall Jones and wife Janette, Philip Russell and wife Vickie, Robert Chambliss and Gary Chambliss; and numerous great nieces and nephews and extended family including, Barbara and Alan Lundgren, Earlene McClendon, James Luttrell, Robin and Javier Rangel, Violet Mugala and numerous sisters in Christ-Joy SS Class.
