Obituary

Manning Louis Trammell, Jr, a minister of the Gospel, traded his time on earth, for an eternity in Heaven, on January 25, 2016, 1 month shy of his 93rd birthday. Manning was born in Fort Worth to the late Manning and Augusta Trammell and dedicated his life to the service of the Lord. He lived in Midlothian and preached in Ellis County for many years before moving to Benbrook where he lived most of his life. He will be remembered as a fervent student of the Bible and his constant thirst for knowledge in religious studies. He received his Bachelors in Theology from David Lipscomb University and also studied at Harding and Abilene Christian Universities. Manning enjoyed membership and fellowship at the West Vickery and Altamesa Churches of Christ. He was predeceased by his parents, wife Norma, and 3 sisters: Shirley Trammell Anderson, Dorothy Leigh Trammell Brinson and Ruth Trammell Elam. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Happy Hills Children's Home, 3846 N. Hwy 144, Granbury, TX 76048. Visitation :10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 27, at West Vickery Church of Christ, 4901 Bourine St, Fort Worth. Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Wednesday at West Vickery Church of Christ Interment: Laurel Land Cemetery. Survived by his children: David William Manning Trammell and wife Janice, of Beaumont, Samuel Dale Trammell and wife Karen, of Granbury, Rebecca Leah Trammell and spouse, Ginnie Tan of Carrollton, Paul Mark Trammell of Benbrook, 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends too numerous to mention.
