Marcus Lee Phillips was born in Fort Worth Texas April 23, 1965, to the union of John H. Sr. and Readie Phillips. At an early age he accepted Christ as his personal Lord & Savior and was baptized at New Rose Baptist Church.

In his youth, Marcus attended Diamond Hill Jarvis High School, where he discovered a love for music and dance, performing in many talents shows. As an adult Marcus worked in the warehouse and hospitality field. However, his passion for music and animals lasted throughout his life.

On Monday, November 14, 2022, Marcus was called home. He was a beautiful spirit and a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will surely be missed and never forgotten.

Marcus is proceeded in death by his father, John H. Sr.; mother, Readie; brother, Ricky; and sisters, Barbara Ann and Joann Murphy.

Marcus leaves behind to cherish his memory his brothers, Arthur L. (Debra) Hudson, John H. Phillip Jr., Bobby W. (Deborah) Phillips, Curtis R. Phillips, Michael A. (Melodi) Phillips, and Mario (Erika) Phillips; nieces, nephews; and a host of family and friends.

The funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home 6009 Wedgwood Dr., Fort Worth, Texas 76133.
