Martha Dean Jones, 77, went to be with her Lord, on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017. Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14, at Harvey Ave. Baptist Church 1257 E. Harvey Ave, Ft. Worth. Interment: Skyvue Cemetery, Mansfield. Calling hours: Noon to 4 p.m. Friday at Martin Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 6009 Wedgwood Dr. in Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Salem Missionary Baptist Church. Martha was born on Oct. 12, 1939, in Winfield, La., to Wavie Alexander and Ollie Dennis. She worked as a church secretary for most of her life. Martha loved her church and helping people. She was a provider for all people. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Jones; her son, Lonnie Ray Booker; and her daughter, Cheryl Lynn Booker. Survivors: Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Debra Starks, Moses Booker, Adrian Booker, James McGee, Charles Jones Jr. and Kimberly Williams; eight grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia Dennis; brothers, Dwain Watts, Wilie Dennis and John Dennis; godson, Raymond Oliver; goddaughter, Mitzi Wright; her Salem church family; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
