Maxine Fowler, 91, passed away Saturday, November 28, 2015. Services: will be held in Birmingham, Alabama. Memorials gifts to the Alzheimer's Association 2630 West Fwy # 100, Fort Worth, TX would be appreciated. Maxine was born on March 16, 1924 in Jasper, Alabama to Fred and Vonnie Elliot and was one of nine children. She was a faithful and loving wife to Lee Roy Fowler and the most wonderful mother in the world to her daughter, Patsy Van Winkle. Maxine had a 37 year career at A&P Grocery as a bookkeeper. She showered her family, pets and friends with a love bigger than the sky. Maxine enjoyed music of any kind, was an extraordinary gardener and had a quick wit which makes one smile to think of her.
