Obituary

Michael "Mike" James Adams passed quietly away on January 16, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was 83 years old.

Mike was born to Albert and June (Hesoun) Adams on January 28, 1942, in Shaker Heights, Ohio. He was the oldest of five brothers and one sister and was very proud of his Irish roots. Mike attended St. Ann's Catholic School and Cleveland Heights High School.

Mike married Kristine Lowery in June of 1963, and together they had five children. He and his brother Timothy were on the ground floor with Chris Page in the beginnings of Cleveland Steel Container. Over the next several decades, he worked at many plant locations where he created parts and equipment that are still in operation today.

In 1969, Mike brought his young family to Fort Worth while working for General Engineering. He was a master mechanic and mechanical engineer by trade. For a short time, he was also a truck driver and had many stories of being in Edmonton, Alberta, and traveling throughout the United States. He retired from TCT in Dallas, where he maintained the "Mom Mobiles" for Parkland Hospital.

Mike was always busy. After retirement, he decided to build a '32 Ford, work on motorcycles, and smoke briskets. He enjoyed flying his plane, boating, motorcycles, and cars. He was a member of the Chula Chaser Organization, which raises money for Tarrant County MHMR children's services.

Mike also enjoyed a nice icy-cold schooner at Angelo's, along with Angelo George's slice brisket and Swiss sandwich on rye.

He is survived by his four children, Michelle, Patricia, Michael, and Sean (Sabra); grandchildren Taylor, Kenna, David, Kristina, Russkin, Angelina, and Grace; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers Kevin (Ellie) and Dennis (Kathy); sister-in-law Debbie (Patrick); brother-in-law Donnie (Holly); and 16 nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his son Michael Jr.; parents Albert and June; brothers Timothy and Patrick; and sister Holly.
