Glenn
Jul 29, 1947 — May 30, 2024
Michael Eugene Glenn, aged 76, peacefully passed away on May 30, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 29, 1947, in Breckenridge, Texas, to Melvin and Marie (McBride) Glenn, Michael lived a life marked by dedication and love.
For 31 years, Michael devoted himself to shaping young minds as a Junior High Science Teacher in Graham. Beyond the classroom, he served with distinction in the Episcopal Church, contributing as a vestry member and leader. Despite his professional commitments, Michael found his greatest joy in his roles as a devoted husband, father, cherished "Pop Pop," brother, and uncle.
When not engaged in teaching or church activities, Michael reveled in precious moments with his family, cherished visits to the family farm, embarked on adventures around the globe with his beloved wife, and delighted in celebrating every occasion, big or small, with his loved ones.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Marie (McBride) Glenn, his sister Delores MeHaffey, his brother James Glenn, and his sister-in-law, Elaine Glenn. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Cheryl Dudo Glenn; his son, Matthew Glenn; his daughter, Melinda Bonnell, and her husband Jon; his grandchildren, Charlotte and Ricky Bonnell; his sisters, Nancy Glenn and Nelda Tosh, alongside her husband Marty; as well as numerous nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests considering a donation to a cancer-fighting charity of your choice in Michael's honor.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, 3401 Bellaire Dr. South, Fort Worth 76109. Refreshments will follow in the Parish Hall with a chance to visit with family & friends.
Michael's legacy of love, service, and devotion will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched.
