Patricia Ann Jackson was born on November 18, 1942, in Marlin, Texas, to Edward Nathaniel Jones and Ellie Lee Jones.

Patricia graduated from Booker T. High School with the Class of 1961, where she was voted Most Popular and Most Beautiful. She went on to devote much of her life to caring for others as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Patricia worked in private duty nursing for the Roberts family for approximately 20 years and continued her career until her retirement in April 2021.

Her faith was at the center of her life. Patricia was a devoted member of Greater Hopewell Baptist Church for more than 30 years. She faithfully served as an usher for over 25 years, first under the leadership of the late C. W. Hood and later under the leadership of Rev. J. L. Preston. She was a God-fearing woman who trusted the Lord to lead and guide her throughout her life.

Patricia was married to Roosevelt Jackson, who preceded her in death in 2008. Following his passing, she continued to make her home in Tyler, Texas, until 2022, when she moved to Mansfield to be closer to her family.

She found joy in many of life’s simple pleasures. Patricia loved Jesus, spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, beauty, and watching Westerns. She especially enjoyed trips to Cracker Barrel and Buc-ee’s and was known for her love of cornbread, fried fish, and pork chops. Above all, Patricia treasured her family and the time she was able to spend with those she loved.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Bernard Lamont Jones and wife, Karma Jones, and Edward De-Asantia Walker; honorary son, Paul Robert; grandchildren, Bernard M. Jones Jr., Shira Forouzan and husband, Dion, Ashton J. Bookman, Branee D. Jones, Jazmine Baylor and husband, Winton, Ed’Drekia Walker, Damia Bonner, Konlan Gardner-Jones, and Karma Gardner-Jones; and great-grandchildren, Bethany Jones, Eliyahu Baylor, Cho`Zen Mitchell, and Jacques West Jr.

She is also survived by her siblings, Oliver Jones and wife, Jean; Ted Jones and wife, Ola; Theresa Stewart and husband, George; Nadean Delley and husband, Robert; and Onnie Marie Scott and husband, Bobby; along with sisters-in-law Janice Jones and Cheryl Jones, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, church family, and dear friends.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Nathaniel Jones and Ellie Lee Jones; her husband, Roosevelt Jackson; her siblings, Nathaniel Jones, Dennis Jones, and Celest Anderson; as well as Theresa Stewart, Onnie Marie, Chris Scott, Anthony Scott, and Christian Keaton.

Patricia will be remembered for her strong faith, caring heart, devotion to her family, and many years of service to others. Her love, wisdom, and presence will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Services: A visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. with a service starting at 12:00 p.m. Friday, October 2, 2026, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1188 W Broad St, Mansfield, TX 76063.

Interment: Mansfield Community Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Mansfield, TX 76063.
