Patricia Lathen, 75, of Meridian, Texas, passed away on December 22. 2024.

Patricia was born in Whitney, Texas to the late Alford Joe Caperton and Nena Laveryn Allen Caperton on January 3, 1949. She graduated from Whitney High School in 1967 and attended Hill College.

Patricia is survived by her sister Nena Jo Booth. Her 4 children Karen Prescher and husband Brent, James Damron and wife Vonda, Kerrie Johnson and husband Kelli, and Kristi Baker and husband Ronald Baker. Her 7 grandchildren John Micheal Tew and wife Bobbie Jo. Brittany Anderson and husband Jeremy, Kayla Prescher, Matthew Prescher and wife Megan, Wilsdaryon Prescher, Ashley Schwarz and husband Andrew and Nena Baker. Her 8 great grandchildren Kaygan, Hazel, Theodore, Grayson, Leif, Emmett, Heidi and Christopher.

Patricia considered herself very blessed to have such a rich legacy of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She celebrated each addition to her family and delighted in watching them grow. Patricia enjoyed sharing prayers and blessings with her family, friends and people in need. She volunteered at the food bank and worked to donate clothes and toys to children in need. She was an avid Cowboy and Texas Ranger fan. She loved cooking and often created her own dishes that she shared with everyone. She will be greatly missed.
