Phyllis Jean Dexter was called to her Heavenly home September17, 2021. Phyllis was born May 21, 1927 in Chaska, MN. To Evelyn (Elkoofska) and Herbert Shoen. She was baptized into the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod on May 26, 1927 and her faith in God has never wavered since. Phyllis married John F. Dexter January 5, 1952. Together they lived in various cities in Minnesota and Seattle, before settling in Texas. Phyllis was a faithful supporter of her church, a meticulous accountant, avid reader, and loved traveling around the US and Europe with her husband, and later with her family. Phyllis is proceeded in death by her loving husband of 61 years John F. Dexter, infant son Richard James Dexter, her mother and father, two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Services: A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with a service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1800 West Fwy, Fort Worth, TX 76102. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Community Hospice of Texas.
