Ramona Ayres-Walker, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. Ramona was born on January 21, 1925 in Houston, Texas to Hugh Paul and Romona Janes. She was the first female to graduate with a business architecture degree from the University of Pennsylvania. Ramona taught art and math for many years in New Jersey until she moved back to Texas. She loved gardening, knitting, ceramics, embroidery, and flowers. Ramona was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Jay J. Ayers and Joe Walker, and her brother Hugh Paul Janes, Jr. Survivors: Daughter, Sandra Ayers and husband David Teichholtz; John Ayers and fiancée Abagail; grandchildren, Jeremiah Ayers, Sara Teichholtz, and Paula Matzke; and great-grandson, Samuel Matzke.
