Ronnie Lee Deason, 76, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, in Fort Worth, TX.
Ronnie was born in Pitkin, LA on October 10, 1949. He was the youngest child of Marcus and Estelle Maddox Deason, and he had fond memories of his childhood in Pitkin, helping on his family's land and playing in Six Mile Creek. From an early age, he developed a love for hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. The values of his upbringing, devotion to family, faith, and hard work, remained with him throughout his life.
Around age 12, Ronnie moved to Sulphur, LA and spent most of his adult life there. He graduated from Sulphur High School in 1967 and went on to attend McNeese State University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry. He then began his career as a chemical salesman in the petrochemical industry. He married Dianne Doiron, and they were blessed with two children. During his retirement, Ronnie moved to Hackberry, LA, where he enjoyed the slower pace, peaceful atmosphere, and spending time with his neighbors. In his final years, he moved to Fort Worth, TX to be near his daughter and grandchildren.
Ronnie was always eager to support and encourage his children and grandchildren. Family, friends, and caregivers will remember his kindness, generosity, and great sense of humor. Though he enjoyed his work, he made time with loved ones a priority. Ronnie loved the simple things in life, such as good food and conversation.
Ronnie is survived by his children, Brad Deason and Lori Deason Reynolds and husband Bob Reynolds, his grandchildren, Landon, Sadie, and Cora Reynolds, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcus Deason and Estelle Maddox Deason Perry, his sisters, Peggy Smith and Betty Heurtevant, his brothers, Roger Deason and Bobby Deason, and his former wife, Dianne Doiron Deason.
A memorial service will be held in Sulphur, LA at a date to be determined. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
