Obituary

Ruby Alline Lee, age 85, passed away on May 10, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Ruby was born on December 20, 1940, in Knob Lick, Missouri, to Fannie and Herbert Humphrey. She was one of ten children and grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. Ruby graduated from Farmington High School in 1958.

She later met and married a young airman, Jessie David Lee, on August 13, 1960. Together, they built a life and became the proud parents of two children, Jess David Lee Jr. and Phyllis Ann.

Ruby had a strong work ethic and devoted many years of service before retiring from General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin. Following her retirement, she enjoyed pursuing her passions for painting, crafting, and playing card and board games. She was affectionately known by family and friends as the "Yahtzee Queen" and was always hard to beat at Fast Track and dominoes.

After entering hospice care, Ruby passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by those she loved most.

Ruby is survived by her brother, Melvin Humphrey; her sisters, Linda Tucker and Diane Grimes; her son, Jess David Lee Jr., and his wife, Janice, who lovingly helped care for her; her daughter, Phyllis Lee Edwards, and her husband, Jon; step-granddaughters, Samantha and Lindy Kennedy; grandsons, Michael Edwards and his partner, Sara Elkind, and Dr. Kyle Edwards and his wife, Caitlin; and great-granddaughter, Melody Ann Edwards. She is also survived by many faithful friends and neighbors.

Ruby will be remembered for her loving spirit, strong work ethic, creativity, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her family takes comfort in the promise that they will see her again when they all meet in Heaven.
