Russell Washington, 56, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Memorial Service: 12 noon, Friday at True Vine Missionary Baptist Church, 3732 Miller Ave., Ft. Worth. Russell was born on August 23, 1959 on Fort Worth to Ruben and Vera Washington. He was a 1978 graduate of O. D. Wyatt High School where he was star football player. Russell received a football scholarship to SMU where he was a defensive end. He was on the 1982 Cottom Bowl championship team. After college he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Bandits where he played two seasons. Survivors: Children, Kaisha Anderson and husband Dee, Ian Verdun, Brandon Washington, R. J.
