Sammy Hernandez passed away on September 16, 2026. He will be missed and remembered by his family and friends.

Sammy enjoyed playing pool and bingo, but some of his happiest moments were spent watching his grandchildren play softball.

Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben Hernandez, Sr. and Simona M. Hernandez; and his sisters, Helen Pantoja and Dolores Gonzalez.

He is survived by his biological daughter, Misty; his bonus daughter, Kelly, her husband, Jaime; daughter’s mother, Brenda; his grandchildren, Ceci and Lex; and his great-grandchildren, Maddy and Elijah. He is also survived by his brother, Ruben Hernandez, Jr. and his wife, Irma; along with several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and cremation burial will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery on October 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.

His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and in the many special moments they shared together.
