It is our honor to celebrate the life of Samuel Edward Fly, Jr. (Sammy), age 60, beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend who passed on Thursday, February 14, 2019 after many years of fighting kidney disease. Services: A visitation will be held from 2 – 3 p.m. with a service beginning at 3 p.m. Saturday, February 16, 2019, The Community at Lake Ridge, 1151 Mansfield Webb Rd., Arlington, TX 76002. Sammy was born on May 28, 1958 in Dallas, Texas to Sam and Betty Fly. He graduated Irving High School in 1976. He married the love of his life, Carol Taylor in June 1983. Among his greatest joys were soaring, hunting, fishing, telling stories, and making people laugh. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol, two sons Taylor and Jake, mother Betty Fly, siblings, Steve Fly, Sharon David, Scott Fly, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
