Santos "Sandy" Ramirez Martinez, 88, passed away July 21, 2016 crossing over peacefully in the early morning. She now rests with her brother, Ignacio Ramirez along with two of her sons, "Lupe" Martinez Jr. and Isaac Martinez. Her children—Frank, Lee, Martin, Chayo, Rosa, Chico and Genie survive Sandy, along with countless grandchildren. Sandy was born November 1, 1927 in Leander, Texas to Rosa Morales and Juan Ramirez. She grew up in Georgetown, Texas, with her other brother Juan Ramirez Jr. She also started her own loving family while in Georgetown. Loved by all who came into contact with her, many came to know her simply as "Mama". Sandy loved to dance, and did so well into her 60s. When she wasn't on the dance floor she could be found at her favorite bingo table sitting amongst friends and family. While everyone will miss her, mourn not the life lost but celebrate the life lived and the memories loved.
