Shannon G. Martin, age 45 of Arlington, Texas went to be with the Lord on, Monday, February 13, 2017 at Interlochen Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Arlington. Shannon was born, June 12, 1971 to Gerald & Terri (Burroughs) Martin in Du Quoin, Illinois. Shannon moved to Texas in 1984 with his family. He attended South Grand Prairie High School, graduating in 1989. After high school Shannon attended University of Texas Arlington. He then worked for Temporary Services in the DFW area. In 1996, Shannon moved to Las Vegas with his family and worked as a computer technician. Shannon then moved back to Arlington in 2005, working as an independent recycler. Shannon's hobbies included watching movies, tinkering with electronics and working with technology. Shannon is survived by his mother, Terri Kelley of Las Vegas, NV, sister, Tiffany Martin of Las Vegas, NV, brother, Jason Martin of Dowell, IL, maternal grandfather, Donald Burroughs of Du Quoin, IL, several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Lorene (Schneider) Martin, maternal grandmother, Dolores (Little) Burroughs, and father, Gerald Martin.
