Shirley Jo Thompson, 87, passed away on August 17, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas.

She was born on August 31, 1936, to Mildred and Carl Hubert. She spent her entire life in the Fort Worth area, where she enjoyed playing Bingo, visiting the casino, gardening, and collecting unique items, especially in the 1980s.

She was married to the love of her life, Benny Thompson, for 30 wonderful years. Benny passed away ten years ago, and Shirley cherished their memories together until her last days.

Shirley is survived by her three children, Dennis Clay, Susie Clay-White, and Judy Clay-Harrison; grandchildren, Melissa Abernathy, Amanda Webb, Ashlee Courtright, and Carlee Pope; great-grandchildren, Abby Mitchell, Josie Mitchell, Izzy Courtright, McKenzie Pope, Maddox Pope, and Ariel Webb.

Shirley was predeceased by her only grandson, Kyle Clay; husband, Benny Thompson: parents, Mildred and Carl Hubert; and her two sisters and brother.
