Sudie Fay Chapman, 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. Service: 2 pm Friday, First Baptist Church of Rice, 201 S Dallas St, Rice. Visitation: 12 noon – 2 pm Friday, First Baptist Church of Rice. Interment: Rice Cemetery, Rice. Sudie was born on August 8, 1930 in New London, Texas to Barney and Elsie Chapman. She loved being outdoors, spending time with family and friends. Sudie also enjoyed puzzles, cooking, gardening, walking and reading. The country life was her life, and she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Sudie will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Survivors: Son, Terry Chapman and his wife, Laura; 4 grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; twin, Trudie Armstrong; sister, Evelyn Causey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
