Velta Lea Halford Millweee went home to be with our Lord on January 26, 2016 after a long fight with cancer. Memorial Service: 1 pm Friday, Bible Baptist Church, Justin, Texas. Velta was born on May 17, 1931 to James and Mamie Beeman Halford. She married Wesley Debs Millwee and they had four children together. Mom was a sweet loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always had a smile, a kiss, and a hug. She was a wonderful housewife. She was preceded by her husband Wesley, her grandson, Kevin Ray Spears, her two infants Betty Joe and Bobby Joe, her parents and 10 siblings. Survivors: Velta is survived by her son, Marvin Millwee and wife Bertha of Arlington, daughter Linda Millwee Benton and husband Thomas of Justin, TX, son, Ronald Millwee and wife Dana of Palestine, TX, daughter, Berta Millwee Gilbert and husband, Charles; her step-son, John Millwee of Denton, and step-daughter Sandra Kay Thomas and husband Fred of Shafter, CA; also a sister, Ida Laughlin of Rotan, TX and Charlie Holford of Wichita Falls; and 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
