William Gerald, "Jerry", Gaines, 81, passed away July 8, 2017. A private service will be held at a later date at Church of the Holy Apostles. Memorials: Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Born in Olney, TX, Jerry was a long-time resident of Fort Worth. He was married for 49 years to his lifetime sweetheart, Melissa Furman Gaines. Jerry worked in the truck tire business for 35 years with General Tire and Firestone companies. He avidly gardened, read historical novels, supported the Texas Rangers, and loved outdoor adventure. Jerry served as a Mason and member of the Church of the Holy Apostles. His wit and wisdom will be greatly missed. Survivors: Four children, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
