William Joseph Nelson passed away in his home the morning of September 27, 2023. The 68-year-old of Brock, Texas was loved by many and he loved many. He will truly be missed. Joey was born in Bryan, Texas to William Matthew Nelson and Alice Carolyn Jensen on December 5, 1954. Joey overcame many obstacles growing up, but still managed to graduate high school and earn his bachelor's in business management. His true love was being a heavy equipment diesel mechanic. Joey was a very private person who loved surfing the web when he was at home.

Joey is survived by his wife of 15 years Sandra Nelson; sisters Lynn Muller, Lori Sherrill, and Holly White; his aunt, Rose Jensen; nieces Kaleigh, Ashley, Vallen, Allicen, Alexis, Chyanna, Alissa, Alice, Rebecca, and Megan; and nephews Michael, Scotty, Christopher, Michael David, Matthew, and Beau.

Joey is preceded in death by his father, William Matthew Nelson, and his mother, Carolyn Nelson, as well as his brothers, Douglas, Ricky, Larry, Johnny, and sister Cissy.
